After 13 years as a Nike employee in various design roles — I followed in many former employee footsteps and returned as a freelancer for another 5 years in an effort to achieve more a life/work balance. Since then, I’ve been working on various residential and commercial projects with private clients and agencies. My belief is that good design = better life + improved business.
While my boys were young, it became a side hobby to fix up vacation homes in places we enjoyed spending our time in Oregon. Using color stories to bring life to these homes was a fun study in composition and functionality that has left a design imprint on my kids.
Lois has over 20 years of experience working in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams across retail, branded environments, workplaces and personal spaces. These environments have enabled her to utilize her unique pairing of degrees in interior design and architecture. With the belief that ‘everything begins with the consumer's experience’, she engages with clients to understand their culture, brand and personality. This process has proven effective for the creation of unique spaces that tell a story through meticulous design and detail. Collaborating with builders and local crafts people, the spaces Lois produces are both beautiful and functional in design.
